How can we empower overburdened doctors in the Indian rural public healthcare system?
Medicus 1.0 rural diagnosis
Medicus was a project which I attempted to incubate. The project stemmed from research that shows the rural Indian healthcare system to be heavily overburdened.
Medicus aids over burdened rural doctors by providing swift & accurate diagnosis recommendations. It uses a medical expert system that can suggest clinical diagnosis possibilities based on vital statistics, symptoms and medical history.
There are other benefits from this system such as digitizing health records of patients, linking them to family medical history and social security numbers.
With the increase in data gathered, doctors can diagnose patients accurately by viewing their records. The government and medical bodies can use the big data to map important information, better understand local health issues and statistics real time.
