Overview

The indoor air purifier market is growing at 12% CAGR for the next 5 years. Nest, the Internet Of Things (IOT) consumer appliance company sees a potential opportunity to create an air purifier that ties into their home ecosystem. 

This project was selected as one of the winning projects in the class by a jury of senior designers & venture capitalists.

Development 

The key  factors were to create a design that can be wall mounted, used in several positions and extend filter life. Working through several iterations, these are the key sketches that led to the final direction of breathe. The aesthetic form is influenced by the material properties of ceramics, for a warm and homely feel.
